1 2 3 4 5 Instant Challenge: Each team is given from six to ten minutes to solve a challenge they have never seen before. Challenges range from improvisational to task based.
1 2 3 4 5 Obstacles, of Course!: Create an Obstacle Course, then design a vehicle that will go over, under, around, and through the obstacles. Focus: Technical Design and Construction, Innovation and Design Process, Mathematics, Experimentation, Theater Arts, Teamwork.
1 2 3 4 5 Hit or Myth: Use the Scientific Method to determine whether the elements of a myth, folk tale or urban legend are possible. Focus: Theatre Arts, Research, Teamwork, International Studies.
1 2 3 4 5 DI’ve Got a Secret: Create and present the story of a Secret. Include a Masquerade Character, Optical Illusion, and Set Pieces that combine. Focus: Playwriting, Theatre Arts, Optical Physics, Teamwork.
1 2 3 4 5 Chorific!: Create an Improvisational skit about a chore, and two randomly chosen obstacles to that chore. Create a Sound Design that will be presented live. Focus: Improvisational Acting, Story Development, Theater Arts, Teamwork, Sound Design
1 2 3 4 5 SWITCH!: Design and build a Structure of Wood and Glue, and test it by stacking weights in two different Orientations. Create a Story presenting two different uses for a SWITCH item. Focus: Architectural Design, Structural Engineering, Construction, Research, Innovation and Design Process, Mathematics, Theater Arts, Teamwork.

*Placement in your first choice will be attempted but cannot be guaranteed. The appraiser coordinator needs to balance all appraisal teams in order to provide the best experience for participants. Specific appraisal roles will be assigned by the Challenge Master on the day of training.
Training and Tournament will both be at Kennedy Middle School W160 N11836 Crusader Court, Germantown, WI. Appraiser Training is March 1, 2008 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. The Regional Tournament is March 15, 2008 from 8 a.m. until completion.
